I’m a big HIMYM fan. I actually know most of the first season script by heart. Weird yes but you’ll fall in love it too. One big part of the series is “The Bro Code” religiously followed by the character Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris). It’s basically the girl version of the girl code. While it’s a bit over exaggerated, it’s always a good laugh. Taking it to the next step, the series and Neil Patrick Harris have made "The Bro Code" into a book. You can preview part of it here.

I've recently been using some acronyms around my girl friends to gossip about boys and relationship issues that I have to stop and define because they've never heard it used before. Here are a few shorthands, some common knowledge and some not, that are in my vocabulary and have made talking about these things that much easier/funnier ;)

Non Faves? Wouldn't that mean I don't like them? YES. These are, in fact, some of my favorite pet peeves. If that is even possible. See, lately, I feel like I'm being accosted by all of my pet peeves at once, so why not just vent about them? Right? I mean, it takes one to have the other, so letting you girls and guys know what gets my goat isn't that far of a stretch. I promise this isn't going to become a regular rant, lol promise.

I have this "Quote of the Day" gadget on my iGoogle from Quotationspage.com. Today's quote happened to be fashion related, and here be the blog entry the quote hath inspired thee. I base my fashion taste on what doesn't itch. -- Gilda Radner. This quote cracks me up but it makes sense. This quote also brings me to share what factors I consider to base my fashion taste on.

Who says geeky isn’t sexy? This adorable red garter belt has a simple design adorned with a NES controller. Honestly there’s nothing special about it other than the charm but how can I resist? It’s on Etsy by Kizette. That’s not all she has; however, she has more geeky items such as a Pi Math Garter and Zombie Brain Garter. Looks like I know what I’m getting for my wedding night. *Wink wink*

This week Paris Hilton had the girls go through a makeover that wasn’t what they expected. Their stylist were former BFFs that were basically paired up with girls they had beef with while they were in the house (Corrie – Beige, Vannesa – Kaley, Lauren – Onch, Shelly - Natasha, Brittany – Kiki). Of course most of them ended up looking like crap but I think most of that was thanks to miscommunication. The stylists were told that the ugliest would win but really it was the prettiest.

From her new Circus album, Britney Spears has released her new single called "If You Seek Amy". I’m very excited for her new album but listening to this single, I’m a little disappointed. Not only did the cover of Circus remind me of Christina Aguilera’s Back to Basics but the songs keep getting worse. Womanizer was mediocre at best but this doesn’t even stay in my head after 10 listens. She may be pumping out award winners but honestly, her songs are total crap.

And that's cool with me! Who am I talking about? Why, walnutwhale, Polyvore stylist extraordinaire! I know you're probably grumbling "not another Polyvore post" but hear me out! Besides, I won't stop talking about Polyvore until EVERYONE is completely obsessed with it like myself! Anywho, back to walnutwhale. She, like many of my contacts on Polyvore; has a very sassy and unique style. What's totally awesome about walnutwhale is her imagination.

This holiday season sequins are the perfect way to take you from wall flower to life of the party. I LOVE this Herve Leger Sequin Ombre Bandge Dress, but it's ,800 (at net-a-porter.com). I also love Les Chiffoniers Sequin Leggings, but they are 5 (at net-a-porter.com). The sequin jacket from Gryphon is the perfect dress up piece for jeans, but it is still pricey at 5 (at intermixonline.com).

Yes it’s a hamster on a piano, eating popcorn. It’s the most adorable Youtube video I’ve ever seen, and trust me I’ve seen quite a few. The song is uber catchy and actually pretty good considering what it’s about. For at least a week after seeing this video, I would constantly sing and hum this song. My life is complete now that I’ve seen this video. /Sarcasm.

Wear one of these abstract, minimalist chic necklaces by jewelry designer Vanessa Gade and everyone will want you in their inner circle. These beautiful sterling silver and 14K gold circular based designs have expertly drilled holes with chains criss-crossing to create a unique artistic look. Best of all, they are all hand made by the designer in her San Francisco studio and are available on indie mega-mart etsy.com. Check out her store at http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5298847. I love all the pieces, especially the Inner Circle No. 2, which is 5, and the N111 OGF, which is 5. Since they are a perfect mix of unique without being over the top, they go great with simple t-shirts and jeans, or with dresses. Also they are available in either 1.25”, 1.75”, or 2.25” width of the circle. Now if only I could afford one. They are a good investment though, since they aren’t too trendy and are high quality, they will last forever and still be chic.
